Three Things (Post-Mutation, Not all of these Events have transpired yet.)

  1. My parents, Owen and Priscilla, lived in some kind of back-to-nature hippie commune in Caldecott County, Mississippi but mom disappeared when I was a baby so my super strict Aunt Carrie took me in. Owen’s a deadbeat. Aunt Carrie calls me the little rogue because I’m always causing trouble.
  2. Cody Robbins really liked me. We talked, like, all the time. He was so cute. I couldn’t help it. I tried to kiss him, my first kiss, and… he collapsed. I don’t know what I did but he’s been in a coma ever since. I ran away the next day and I’ll never let myself touch anyone again.
  3. I hadn’t been gone from home long when Magnus found me. He took me in, like a daughter. I was so lonely and angry. He really helped open my eyes. He set me up with a nice normie family too and soon, just like he said, Charles Xavier found me. I can’t wait to start at this fancy mutant school.

I am losing again
But my cards have got to come around eventually
And I tell you my friend
Soon as my luck changes nothing will stop me
And I always wanted to be you
To walk the walk, talk the talk, do all the stuff I’ve seen you do
Jealousy’s no sin
When only one of us was born to win

I need a reason to feel blessed
I’ll be your sidekick, will you be impressed?
I want to go all the way
I do my best but put to the test I just achieve a fraction
And what can I say?
I try to be myself, end up fighting my gut reaction

Leaving town left behind
I wish I could, I wish, oh would that wishing made things so
It’s all in the mind
What’s in the way, what makes me stay my easy-come my easy-go

And don’t you fail?
Don’t you ever fail?
Don’t you fail?
Don’t you?
