- - My name is Logan Colter. I was born on July, 20 1998 on a small time corn farm about 10 miles outside of Dayton, OH. My dad Trent is a corn farmer like his dad was before him, and my mom Evelynn is an elementary school teacher.
- - I’ve always been in charge of something my whole life. I was the kid who had all the ideas about what to do and where to go, and all my friends always followed my lead. The trend continued when I started playing sports.I was the point guard in basketball and the Keeper on my soccer team when I was a little kid. I’ve always been interested in what it means to be a leader ever since the Secretary of State came to my elementary school when I was 7. He was in his full dress uniform and was the most awe inspiring individual I’d ever seen. My school had a L.E.A.D. program in place, so he was talking about leadership and what it means. I’ll never forget when he said, “If a leader doesn’t convey passion and intensity then there will be no passion and intensity in his team.”
- - One day my kid brother got ahold of my favorite football mom and dad had bought me and he took a kitchen knife to it cause he was mad at me or something. I was so mad at him I couldn’t stand to be around him. I Immediately took off out into the cornfields. I had to get away from him for a while. A storm popped up out of nowhere, and the faster I ran, the faster the wind blew and the rain fell harder and harder. I ran til I hit the copse of tree’s where my old throwing accuracy tires swong from their branches. I pulled the football out of my backpack and started firing it through the rings. Every time I hit a bulls eye I heard a roll of thunder. The one pass I missed the ball bounced off away from the trees. In my frustration I picked up a rock and threw it at the tire. The instant the rock touch the rubber a massive lightning bolt contacted the tire, leaving a pile of friend, melting rubber on the ground.
